Is a recheck free?
No. There is no free recheck window. Every check that returns a billed status costs 1 credit, even for an address you verified before.

What is billed
valid, invalid, risky, disposable, catchall and role results cost 1 credit each. Unknown results are not billed.
How to avoid paying twice
Store each result with its date and reuse it for addresses you already checked. Recheck only when the result is old or was unknown.
Why results change
A later check can differ because of temporary server conditions; see the recheck article.
Good to know
Billing applies per check, not per unique address.
