Which results are charged?
Valid, invalid, risky, disposable, catchall and role results each cost 1 credit. Unknown costs nothing. That includes disposable addresses: they are not free to check.

In results
The credits_used field on each result shows what was charged: 1 for a billed status, 0 for unknown.
Retrying unknown
Retrying an unknown address costs nothing unless the retry returns a definite result, in which case it is billed as normal.
Your balance
New accounts include 100 credits. The credits page shows your balance and history.
