How to reduce your email bounce rate
Most hard bounces come from addresses that should never have been mailed. Verify before you send, catch typos at signup, and suppress every bounce at once.

1. Verify the list
Remove invalid and disposable addresses from any list before the first send, and from older lists before a big one.
2. Catch typos at capture
Check the address as it is typed, and use a confirmation email where it matters.
3. Suppress bounces
Add hard bounces to a suppression list across all your tools. Retry soft bounces a few times, then suppress them too.
4. Measure
Track hard and soft bounce rates per source. A source with a high rate is where to fix collection.
Good to know
Check the bounce limits your sending platform and mailbox provider publish, since they differ. A clean list lowers bounces but does not set them to zero.
