Image blocking
A mail client setting that does not load images in a message until the reader allows it.

In practice
Do not put essential text only in images. Add alt text and design so the message still works without pictures. Blocked images also mean tracking pixels do not fire, so opens are undercounted.
Verification and sending
Not related to verification; blocking happens on the reader’s side after delivery.
