Email Extractor for Firefox
Pull the email addresses from the page you are viewing, select the ones you want, and copy or export them as TXT or CSV. It runs entirely in your browser.
Status: submitted to Mozilla Add-ons and in review. Mozilla signs every listed add-on before installation, so there is no install link yet. Until it is approved, use the web Email Extractor with pasted text or a file, or the Chrome extension.
How it works
Three steps
- Open a web page and click the add-on (or press Ctrl+Alt+E).
- Press Extract. Addresses from visible text and mailto links are listed once each.
- Copy, download TXT/CSV, or copy and open them in the ValidReach Email Extractor.
Permissions
What it asks for and why
- activeTab — Lets the add-on read the tab you are on only after you click its button or press Ctrl+Alt+E.
- scripting — Runs the small reader that collects the page’s visible text and mailto links.
- storage — Holds the selected addresses in temporary session memory for up to 5 minutes.
- clipboardWrite — Lets “Open in ValidReach” copy your selection before opening the Email Extractor.
It requests no access to all websites, history or cookies. See the browser extension privacy notice.
Limits
What it does not do
- Reads the top frame of the current tab only; iframes and closed shadow DOM are not read.
- Hidden elements, scripts and form fields (inputs, text areas, editable regions) are ignored.
- Up to 2,000,000 characters and 10,000 unique addresses per run; larger pages give a partial result and say so.
- Browser pages (about:) and addons.mozilla.org cannot be read.
- It finds addresses; it does not verify that they work.
FAQ
Common questions
Not yet. The Firefox build was submitted to Mozilla Add-ons and is in review. Mozilla must sign it before it can be installed, so this page has no install link until the listing is public. Use the web Email Extractor in the meantime.
No. Extraction happens in the popup on your device, and the add-on makes no network requests. “Open in ValidReach” copies the addresses you selected and opens the Email Extractor page; you paste them yourself.
Two things: the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+Alt+E (Chrome uses Alt+Shift+E), and “Open in ValidReach” uses the clipboard instead of messaging between the page and the extension, which Firefox does not support. Extraction and exports are the same.
No. Verification is a separate step: download the TXT or CSV and upload it to a list job in your dashboard.
