Whois Lookup
See which registrar holds a domain, when it was registered and when it expires, plus its status and name servers.
How it works
What gets checked
We ask the public RDAP service, the structured successor to WHOIS, for the domain’s record and show the registrar, key dates, status codes and name servers.
Limits
What it cannot tell you
- It reads public RDAP records. Registrant and contact details are not shown, and many registries redact them anyway.
- Some registries do not support RDAP, and the lookup then reports that no record was found.
- A registration record does not say whether the domain can receive mail. Use the MX lookup for that.
- Anonymous use is limited to 30 lookups per hour. The domain is sent to our server and to the public RDAP service; it is not put in the page URL.
