Verify Zoom webinar registrants before syncing to Mailchimp

Screen Zoom webinar registration emails through ValidReach before adding attendees to a Mailchimp audience and triggering reminder sequences.

Starts when: New Zoom webinar registrant created.

Steps

  1. 1. Zoom registrant created (trigger)

Read registrant email, first_name, and webinar topic.

  2. 2. Verify address with ValidReach (http)

POST the registrant email to /api/v1/verify/single.

  3. 3. Branch on verification status (branch)

Separate deliverable attendees from invalid/disposable signups.

  4. 4. Add subscribed member to Mailchimp audience (action)

Upsert the contact in Mailchimp with a webinar-verified tag.

  5. 5. Exclude from Mailchimp marketing audience (action)

Do not import invalid or disposable addresses into your billed Mailchimp audience.

Before you run it

Event registrations often attract disposable addresses; filtering them before Mailchimp sync prevents both bounce spikes and unnecessary subscriber tier upgrades.

Verification status. Schema: checked in unit tests. Import: not tested on any platform. Sandbox run: not run. The download is this ValidReach definition, not an importable file for an automation platform.
