How to verify an email address
Run it through a verifier that checks the format, the domain’s mail servers and, where the server allows it, the mailbox itself. With ValidReach you can do this for one address, for a file of addresses or from your own code.

One address
Enter it in the email verifier. You get a status (valid, invalid, risky, disposable, catchall, role or unknown) and flags such as is_free and is_role. New accounts include 100 credits.
A list
Upload a CSV, TXT, TSV or XLSX file on the list verification page, choose the email column if it is not called email, and download the results when the job finishes. Include your original columns so the statuses sit next to your data.
From code
Call POST /api/v1/verify/single with an API key. Up to 50 addresses can go to /api/v1/verify/bulk in one request; longer lists use the file endpoint. The API quickstart has a working example.
Act on the result
Send to valid. Decide deliberately about role and catchall. Retry unknown later, since it is not billed. Remove invalid and disposable.
Good to know
A result describes the address at the time of the check. It does not guarantee delivery or inbox placement, and it cannot tell whether the person wants your message.
