Gmail multi-send (now mail merge)
A Google Workspace feature for sending a personalized copy to many recipients; Google renamed it mail merge.

In practice
Google says mail merge replaces multi-send mode in Gmail. It is available on eligible Workspace plans and lets one message go to many recipients with merge tags such as @firstname. Recipients get separate threads and cannot see the other recipients.
The limits are specific: up to 1,500 recipients in the To line per message and 1,500 mail-merge recipients per day for most accounts, inside the account’s total daily sending limit. Standard Gmail accounts have a lower daily limit.
Verification and sending
A larger recipient list makes bad addresses more expensive. Verify the list before a merge send and remove invalid or disposable addresses; a bounce still counts against the sender’s reputation even when each copy is personalized.
