Email engagement

Mailbox providers use engagement as a signal when deciding where to place mail, so a long list of people who never respond can hurt delivery. A common remedy is a sunset policy that stops mailing people after a long period of inactivity.

An inactive address is not the same as an invalid one. Verification finds addresses that cannot receive mail; engagement shows who does not read it.
