How it works

What it does

We unfold the headers, read each Received line from oldest to newest, compute the delay between hops, and extract the Authentication-Results and key fields such as From, Return-Path and Date.

Limits

What it cannot tell you

  • Headers can be forged by senders and relays. Only the Authentication-Results added by your own receiving server is trustworthy, and this tool does not verify it independently.
  • Hop times depend on each server’s clock; a negative delay usually means a clock problem rather than time travel.
  • Up to 200,000 characters.
  • Runs in your browser; nothing you paste is sent anywhere.
