Verify emails from Gemini CLI
ValidReach has no Gemini CLI plugin, skill or MCP server. If Gemini CLI can run shell commands in your project, it can call the REST API with curl. Check Gemini CLI’s own documentation for how it asks permission to run commands and how it handles environment variables; those details change between versions.
Set the key outside the conversation
Export VALIDREACH_API_KEY in your shell before starting the tool. Do not paste the key into a prompt, a chat message or a file the tool will read, because prompts and files can be logged or committed.
The command
curl -X POST https://validreach.dev/api/v1/verify/single \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $VALIDREACH_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"email":"user@example.com"}'Ask for what you want
Describe the task in plain words, for example: verify these three addresses with the curl command above and tell me each status. Review the command the tool proposes before approving it, and limit it to single addresses. Use the file endpoint for lists.
Cautions
Each definite result spends a credit, so keep batches small while testing. Decisions that matter should branch on data.status in your own code, not on a model’s summary of it.
