The percentage of delivered messages in which a recipient clicked a link.

In practice
Tools report either unique clicks (one per recipient) or total clicks, so read the definition before comparing numbers. Security scanners that follow links can add clicks that no person made.
Example
120 unique clickers out of 6,000 delivered is a 2% click rate.
Verification and sending
Bounced messages are normally excluded from the denominator. Removing invalid addresses first keeps the rate honest.
