Acceptance rate
The share of sent messages that the receiving mail server accepted rather than rejected.

In practice
It is (sent − bounced) ÷ sent. A high acceptance rate says servers took your mail; it does not say the mail reached the inbox, because accepted messages can still land in spam.
Example
10,000 sent and 200 bounced gives an acceptance rate of 98%.
Verification and sending
Verification removes addresses that would be rejected, which is the main way a list change raises acceptance rate.
