ValidReach vs other email verification services
We have not tested other verification services against ValidReach and publish no accuracy comparison. This page gives you ValidReach’s actual rules, a test plan for your own list and a checklist to fill in from each vendor’s current documentation.
What to check, side by side
The ValidReach column states our published behaviour. The other column tells you how to find the same fact for the other tool; we make no claims about it.
| What to check | ValidReach | How to check it for other email verifiers |
|---|---|---|
| Result vocabulary | valid, invalid, risky, disposable, catchall, role, unknown | Read the vendor’s results documentation. Map each status to yours before comparing counts. |
| Unknown / undetermined results | Not billed; retryable says whether to retry | Find how the vendor bills results it could not determine, on its pricing or docs page. |
| Catch-all domains | Reported as catchall and billed 1 credit | Check whether catch-all addresses get their own status, and what you pay for them. |
| Free credits to test | 100 credits on a new account | Check the vendor’s current free trial or test allowance. |
| File formats | CSV, TXT, TSV, XLSX; original columns optional in export | Check supported formats and whether your columns are kept. |
| Data retention | Uploaded files and results can be deleted from the job page | Check the vendor’s retention and deletion terms. |
| Evidence | No published accuracy comparison | Treat any vendor’s accuracy claim as untested until you reproduce it on your sample. |
What ValidReach does, and how to test it
Seven statuses and flags
Results are valid, invalid, risky, disposable, catchall, role or unknown, plus is_deliverable, is_free and a reason string. Decide on status; log the reason.
Unknown is free
Every status except unknown costs 1 credit. When the check cannot conclude, you are not charged, and retryable tells you whether a retry is worthwhile.
One model for API, files and the dashboard
Single and bulk API calls, file jobs (CSV, TXT, TSV, XLSX) with optional original columns, and the dashboard all return the same result language.
Run the test on your own list
Take 500 addresses from your real list, with a mix of sources. Verify the same file with each tool the same day. Count valid, invalid, catch-all, unknown and role results, then send a small batch from each group and compare bounces. The tool whose “valid” group bounces least on your data wins for your data.
This page covers: Bouncer, DeBounce, Emailable, EmailListVerify, Kickbox, MillionVerifier, MyEmailVerifier, NeverBounce, Proofy, QuickEmailVerification, Reoon, Validity, Verifalia, ZeroBounce.
