ValidReach vs email finder tools
Finder tools look up or derive addresses for named people; ValidReach verifies addresses you already have. They do different jobs and work well together. We make no claim about any finder’s accuracy.
What to check, side by side
The ValidReach column states our published behaviour. The other column tells you how to find the same fact for the other tool; we make no claims about it.
| What to check | ValidReach | How to check it for email finders |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Verify addresses you provide | Check the tool’s own description: finding, verifying or both. |
| Input | Email addresses (single, bulk, file, API) | Usually names and company domains. Confirm on the tool’s docs. |
| Status model | valid, invalid, risky, disposable, catchall, role, unknown | Check what statuses or confidence values the tool returns for each address. |
| Unknown billing | Not billed | Check how undetermined results are billed. |
| Evidence | No published accuracy comparison | Run the tool’s output through verification and count how many addresses survive. |
What ValidReach does, and how to test it
Find, then verify
A finder answers “what is this person’s address?”. ValidReach answers “does this address accept mail?”. Verify the finder’s output before you send.
Finder confidence is not a check
A confidence value from a finder is its own estimate. A verification result is a check at send time. Keep both in your file and compare.
Catch-all is the hard case
Derived addresses on catch-all domains cannot be confirmed by any verifier. ValidReach reports them as catchall so you can send a small test first.
Run the test on your own list
Take 500 addresses from your real list, with a mix of sources. Verify the same file with each tool the same day. Count valid, invalid, catch-all, unknown and role results, then send a small batch from each group and compare bounces. The tool whose “valid” group bounces least on your data wins for your data.
