A database “verified” flag vs independent email verification
A database flag says the provider checked an address at some earlier time. An independent check says whether it accepts mail now. The gap between them is the risk you carry.
What each tells you
The flag reflects the provider’s method and date, which you may not see. The independent result reflects your check on the day you send, with flags for role, catch-all and disposable addresses.
Compare on your own export
Keep the database flag in a column, verify the file, and cross-tabulate. Rows flagged verified that are now invalid show how fast that source drifts.
